Job summary

Maag Gala Industries, Inc. is seeking a Machining Floater for 2nd shift in Eagle Rock, VA. The role covers blueprints reading, setup and operation of CNC mills and lathes, and cross-training across EDM, manual lathes, knee mills, and die plate inspection.

Safety, quality and efficiency are emphasized in daily tasks. The successful candidate will interpret drawings, set tools, manage offsets, inspect parts, and work with setup sheets while maintaining a strong focus on process controls and

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required
Machining Fundamentals I & II course will be taken after hire
Desirable: Journeyman apprenticeship or equivalent
Experience in machining/manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints
Set up and operate CNC Mills and Lathes including Manual Machines on the shop floor
Establish zero and reference points for each part to be machined
Understand work holding systems with Manual and automated machines
Read measuring tools (micrometers, depth mics, calipers)
Work from programmer setup sheets
Install machining programs into machines
Send tool offsets correctly
Monitor and replace worn tools
Inspect product to ensure it meets print and customer requirements
Adhere to safety, quality and environmental policies
