Job summary

Maag Gala Industries, Inc. is seeking a Machining Floater for the 2nd shift in Eagle Rock, VA. This role involves CNC mills and lathes, manual machines, and cross-training across the shop floor to support multiple operations.

You will read blueprints and set up equipment to optimize throughput. Responsibilities include program installation, tool offsets, and routine inspections to ensure parts meet specifications.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; machining fundamentals training preferred.
• Experience in machining/manufacturing related to the position.
• Desirable CNC programming, setup and operation experience.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes, including manual machines.
• Establish zero/reference points and understand workholding.
• Read measuring tools (micrometers, calipers) and inspect parts.
• Install machining programs and manage tool offsets.
• Monitor tool wear and ensure parts meet print specs.
