Job summary

Superior Forge & Steel Corporation in Lima, OH is seeking a Finish Turn Operator to operate a CNC lathe and machine forged rolls. You will set up the lathe, inspect parts, and perform maintenance tasks within the Machining Department.

Starting wages are $24.20 per hour with potential higher pay based on experience. Benefits include medical coverage, 401(k), paid time off, and a production incentive program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous CNC or machining experience preferred but not required.
• Experience operating manufacturing equipment and/or heavy machinery preferred.
• Must be able to read/interpret blueprints.
• Good math skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Basic problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screen.

Superior Forge & Steel Corporation

is currently hiring a Finish Turn Operator for our operation in Lima, OH. The Finish Turn Operator is a member of our Machining Department responsible for operating a CNC lathe to machine our forged rolls.

Competitive wages starting at $24.20/hr with the opportunity for higher compensation based on experience and skills. Benefit/insurance package, 8 paid holidays, 401K, PTO, Vacation, Paid Relief Days, $1,000 SIGN ON BONUS, and this position is eligible for the Production Incentive Program.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate lathe and controller


• Inspect forging/roll; report any deviation from specification


• Machine forging/roll to specification


• Preventative maintenance on lathe


• Perform other department duties, as assigned

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions

• Must be capable of lifting up to 60 lbs. occasionally throughout shift


• Exposed to seasonal temperature changes


• Manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and vibration

Qualifications

Classification: Hourly
