Job summary

Albany Engineered Composites (AEC) seeks an evening shift machinist to support setup, operation, and inspection of aerospace composite components. You will read blueprints, load cutters, and run jobs on lathes and mills, ensuring part quality with calipers and micrometers. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and CNC controllers is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; must be proficient with computers.
• 2 years experience using and reading scales, calipers, micrometers.

Responsibilities

• Set up fixtures on machine and dial in tooling.
• Dry run programs prior to production; fix errors with supervision.
• Edit programming and regulate speeds, feeds, coolant, depth, etc.
• Run production jobs on machining centers and monitor quality.
• Maintain a clean work area daily and use ERP/MRP systems.
• Operate forklifts/pallet jacks to move materials and tooling.
• Read blueprints and ensure signoffs and inspections are current.
