Job summary

Qualified Staffing in Fenton, MI is seeking a CNC Machinist to support high-volume production. You will set up and operate CNC lathes and mills, ensuring parts meet tight tolerances and quality standards. The role offers a 6:00am–2:30pm shift with overtime as needed, and a strong benefits package on hire.

Ideal candidates have 2–5+ years in CNC machining, experience with Okuma turning centers or similar controls, and proficiency in reading blueprints and performing shop math.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of CNC machining experience (setup and operation).
• Proficiency reading engineering blueprints and symbols.
• Strong shop math skills for decimals and geometry.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC vertical and horizontal centers or lathes (1–5 setups per day).
• Adjust tool paths, speeds, and feeds for optimal performance.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections with micrometers/calipers to tolerances.
