Job summary

Control Devices is seeking a CNC Lathe Setup/Operator on 2nd shift in Fenton, MO. You will set up, operate, troubleshoot and produce precision machined components on CNC lathes, following safety procedures and documented instructions.

Proficiency with Mori Seiki, Haas, Okuma, Index or Citizen Swiss Lathes is preferred. The role requires reading blueprints, performing tool changes, program adjustments, and completing quality inspections with basic G-Code/M-Code.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years CNC lathe setup experience.
• Proficient performing complete setups on at least one listed machine.
• Strong blueprint reading skills.
• Working knowledge of G-Code and M-Code.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete machine setups on CNC lathes with minimal supervision.
• Set up, operate, adjust, and troubleshoot CNC lathe to produce quality components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work instructions and setup documentation.
• Understand and work with G-Code and M-Code programming.
• Take tooling, offsets, speeds, and feeds for materials.
• Inspect parts using precision measuring equipment.
• Make tool wear adjustments and minor program edits as needed.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and perform minor machine repairs.
• Maintain quality standards and production documentation.
• Assist training of operators and setup personnel.
