Ducommun, Inc. in Parsons, KS is seeking a CNC Machinist on the B shift to set up and operate conventional, special purpose, and CNC machines to fabricate parts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with up to 3 years related experience.
• Math skills including decimals, percentages, fractions, ratios; geometry is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mylars; basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Measure and mark dimensions on material for machining.
• Set up and secure fixtures and tools on mills and lathes.
• Set machine controls for speed, feed, coolant, depth, and angle of cut.
• Observe machine operation and adjust as needed to stay within tolerances.
• Verify finished work matches specifications and conduct trial runs.
