Geater Machining and Manufacturing, Co. is seeking a Machine Operator to set up and run conventional, CNC, and NC equipment for fabricating metal and nonmetal parts in a controlled manufacturing environment.

You will analyze work orders and blueprints, select tools, adjust controls, verify finished parts to specifications, and collaborate with engineers and production staff. High school diploma or GED required; on-site, full-time position with shift premiums and growth opportunities.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• Preferred: six months to one year related experience and/or training or education.
• Preferred: Two year CNC degree.
• Read, write and speak English fluently.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, safety rules, and operating instructions.
• Calculate figures and formulas related to the work area.
• Computer literate.

Aufgaben

• Analyze work orders, pieces, and blueprints to determine process, materials, equipment, and sequence of operations required to machine parts.
• Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, grinders and saws.
• Operate and adjust semi-automatic or automatic numerically controlled machine tools.
• Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth and angle of cut or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
• Thoroughly deburr parts.
• Observe machine operation to detect malfunctions, adjust machine controls as required and verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications and blueprints by use of appropriate measuring devices.
• Check parts for conformance and specifications.
• Communicate and confer with engineers, production personnel, programmers, and others to resolve machining or assembly problems.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
