Job summary

Innovative Aerosystems in Exton, PA is seeking a Machinist Apprentice to join our manufacturing team. You will learn to operate CNC equipment, read blueprints, and support the production of aerospace and defense components.

You will work alongside experienced machinists, participate in training, and contribute to quality and continuous improvement while maintaining a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• ITAR compliance: U.S. person status required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in machining.
• Technical schooling in machining is a plus but not required.
• Ability to learn machining processes, equipment, and best practices.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings is a plus.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn to safely operate CNC machining equipment under guidance.
• Assist in producing precision components for aerospace/defense.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and work instructions.
• Use precision measuring tools to verify quality and conformance.
• Assist with machine setup, tooling preparation, and material handling.
• Perform basic quality inspections and document results.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Support continuous improvement within manufacturing.
• Follow safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Work with machinists, engineers, and quality personnel to meet goals.
• Participate in ongoing training and development.
