Zusammenfassung

Aerotek is seeking a CNC Machine Operator in Fridley, MN for a permanent, on-site role. You will run CNC milling machines, handle 20–30 lb parts, measure with micrometers and calipers, and document work in our systems. The shop operates with first and second shifts (6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.

and 2:30 p.m.–11:00 p.m.). Ideal candidates have hands-on machining experience, blueprint literacy, safety awareness, and a strong eye for detail to ensure high-quality cylinder heads for recreational airplanes.

Qualifikationen

• Experience operating CNC mills or CNC machining equipment in a production or shop environment.
• Ability to safely lift and handle parts weighing 20–30 lbs throughout the shift.
• Hands-on experience using micrometers and calipers for measuring and inspecting parts.
• Understand blueprints, tolerances, and machining requirements.
• Document all work using computer systems and traveler paperwork.
• Follow safety, quality, and shop procedures.
• Show strong attention to detail and aim for high-quality parts.
• Read and follow written and verbal instructions.

Aufgaben

• Operate CNC milling machines to produce cylinder heads following established processes and instructions.
• Lift and handle cylinder heads weighing 20–30 lbs safely.
• Grind and debur parts to remove sharp edges and ensure clean surfaces.
• Measure and inspect parts using micrometers and calipers to verify specs.
• Document all work and any defects in systems and traveler paperwork.
• Monitor machine operation and report irregularities to maintain quality.
• Use hand tools and measuring devices for machining tasks and minor adjustments.
• Read blueprints to understand dimensions and tolerances.
• Follow safety, housekeeping, and shop policies to keep area clean and safe.
• Collaborate with teammates to support continuous improvement.
