Job summary

PROENERGY in Sedalia, MO is seeking an intermediate CNC operator/setting technician to set up and maintain production on 5 Axis CNC machines, ensure part conformance, and meet on-time delivery targets. The role requires reading blueprints and programs, and training operators as needed.

Travel for training is possible; the position reports to Aero Manufacturing Supervisor and is located at 2001 Proenergy Blvd., Sedalia.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and two-year technical trade degree or completion of a machinist apprenticeship program.
• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• US work authorization is required; sponsorship will not be considered.
• Successful candidate will satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Set up/qualify CNC machines and ensure part conformance.
• Preview and understand machine programs, setup data, and verify tool function.
• Trouble shoot non-conformances from programming errors, tooling, or misloading.
• Train operators and sign off on training.
• Ensure quality standards are met by yourself and operators.
• Record in-process measurement data using an ERP system or similar.
• Read and interpret complex work instructions, processes, and blueprints.
• Maintain machine and operator conformance of production parts.
• Travel for training and industry education as necessary.
