Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC mills or lathes in Arnold, MO. You will read engineering drawings, run programs at the machine, and verify parts with calipers and inspection tools.

This contract-to-hire role features a 4-day, 10-hour shift schedule with optional overtime and a comprehensive benefits package. You’ll work in a climate-controlled facility focused on precision, quality, and clean, safe manufacturing practices.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and operating CNC mills or CNC lathes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency using precision measuring tools (calipers, etc.).
• Experience with Fanuc or similar CNC controls.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC mills or lathes with appropriate tooling and fixtures.
• Operate CNC equipment to produce parts per drawings and specs.
• Run CNC programs and adjust at the machine to maintain accuracy.
• Verify parts meet dimensional and quality specifications.
• Use precision measuring equipment to inspect completed parts.
• Perform first-piece and last-piece inspections to confirm stability and quality.
• Inspect parts for burrs and quality issues and take corrective actions as needed.
• Complete routing, production, and quality documentation accurately and on time.
• Perform routine and general maintenance on CNC equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
