Job summary
Aerotek in Guthrie, OK is seeking a CNC Machinist for the 1st shift to operate, set up, and edit programs on CNC mills and lathes, delivering precision parts in a clean, semi climate-controlled facility. You will interpret blueprints, run HAAS or Mazak machines, perform setups, changeovers, offsets, and inspect parts; the regular shift runs 7:00 a.m.
to 3:45 p.m., with overtime available; weekly pay and benefits start day one.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on CNC milling and turning experience.
- Proficient in machine setups, tear-downs, and changeovers.
- Ability to edit CNC programs at the machine.
- Strong understanding of offsets and tolerances.
- Able to read blueprints and work instructions.
- Experience with HAAS, Mazak or similar machines.
- Willing to work daytime shift and overtime.
- Reliable and detail-oriented in a production environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision components.
- Set up machines with tooling, fixtures, and workholding.
- Perform tear-downs and changeovers between jobs.
- Edit CNC programs to adjust quality and efficiency.
- Apply offsets to meet tolerances and specs.
- Read blueprints to determine operations.
- Inspect parts using measuring tools.
- Monitor performance and adjust for consistent output.
- Maintain clean, safe work area and follow procedures.
- Collaborate with team to resolve issues.
