Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and 4+ years related machining experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications.
• Competence in CNC programming and machine setup, including G and M code, Mazatrol.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, sketches or drawings to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Select, align, and secure fixtures for efficient setups.
• Use cutting tools and materials assigned for machining tasks.
• Edit and troubleshoot CNC programs at the machine control.
• Set controls and enter commands to regulate speeds, feeds, and coolant flow.
• Mentor others on basic machining practices.
• Inspect parts with gauges, calipers, dial indicators, and micrometers.
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes as needed.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping in the work area.
• Perform minor preventative maintenance and clean work areas daily.
• No supervisory responsibilities.
