Job summary

Amphenol Aerospace Operations seeks a CNC Machinist for the 3rd shift at the new Mesa, AZ facility. The role requires a minimum of 2 years of lathe/CNC experience, reading blueprints, and strong attention to productivity and quality on a busy manufacturing floor.

You will support KPI metrics and collaborate with supervisors to keep Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Costs on target. Applicants must be reliable, able to translate for team members, and proficient with metrology tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of lathe production experience on CNC & related production equipment.
• Read and understand job layouts, blueprints, schematics and work from written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to strictly managetime to support a productive work environment.
• Ability to provide hourly production stats and implement quick corrective actions.
• Excellent attendance and reliability.
• Ability to communicate with and collaborate with team members.
• Intermediate computer skills and familiarity with metrology equipment.

Responsibilities

• Be knowledgeable in CNC machining and secondary equipment.
• Assist Production Supervisors with KPI requirements (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Cost).
• Participate in Lean & 5S culture company wide.
• Follow in-process quality inspections to ensure total quality.
• Aid planning & engineering to optimize productivity.
• Provide translation service for team members when required.
• Use correct gaging and metrology tools to deliver high-quality components.
• Support preventative maintenance and report machine issues to the supervisor.
