Job description

The successful candidate will report to the Machining Supervisor and perform machining duties within the manufacturing environment.

The Role

Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a CNC Machinist 3rd Shift to work out of its new, state-of-the-art facility in Mesa.

The key responsibilities of this CNC Machinist include, but are not limited to:

• Knowledgeable in CNC machining and secondary equipment
• Assist Production Supervisors with KPI requirements (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Cost)
• Participate in and promote Lean & 5S culture across the company
• Conduct "in-process" quality inspections and collaborate with team members to ensure quality standards
• Provide feedback to planning & engineering to optimize productivity
• Translate for team members when necessary
• Use correct gauging, hand measuring tools, and metrology equipment to ensure high-quality components
• Support preventative maintenance and report machine issues to the supervisor

The Person

The key skills and qualities for a CNC Machinist at Amphenol Aerospace Operations include:

• At least 2 years of lathe production experience on CNC and related equipment
• Ability to read and interpret job layouts, blueprints, schematics, and follow written and verbal instructions
• Effective time management and collaboration skills to support productivity
• Excellent attendance record

• Intermediate computer skills
• Capability to work on a busy manufacturing floor
