Job summary

Roper Pump Company LLC in Commerce, GA is seeking a CNC Machinist to gauge and maintain quality parts throughout the machining process. You will ensure quality standards with written procedures and keep accurate data by clocking in and out on the data system.

You will read blueprints, use micrometers, dial indicators, gauges and vernier calipers to check work quality, perform minor tool maintenance, and follow safety policies.

Qualifications

• One-year experience with a 3-axis or 4-axis CNC controlled mill.
• Able to read and edit CNC programs.
• Able to read, use and interpret blueprints, micrometers, dial indicators, gauges and vernier calipers to check and maintaining work quality.
• Flexible team member with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Gauge and maintain quality parts throughout machining process.
• Maintain quality standards for production parts according to written quality procedures and practices.
• Maintains accurate parts counts and data integrity by clocking in and out properly on data computer collection system.
• Marks and/or tags identifying material on stock items and prepares necessary paperwork for proper routing of materials.
• Conducts minor repairs and maintenance to cutting tools during production process.
• Follow and adhere to company safety polices, procedures and practices. Maintain good housekeeping and safe working environment.
• Other responsibilities as required or assigned.
