Job summary

Commerce Pump LLC is seeking a CNC machinist to gauge and inspect parts, read blueprints, and perform setup and minor tool repairs. You will ensure data accuracy and maintain quality throughout the machining process in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires at least one year of CNC mill experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to obtain a forklift license. Long hours and weekdays are typical, with safety and teamwork emphasized.

Qualifications

• One year experience with a 3-axis or 4-axis CNC controlled mill.
• Able to read and edit CNC programs.
• Able to read, use and interpret blueprints, gauges and vernier calipers to check and maintain work quality.
• High school diploma or GED and one year related experience.
• Obtains lift operator license for motorized pallet jack and forklift.

Responsibilities

• Gauge and maintain quality parts throughout machining process.
• Maintain quality standards for production parts according to written procedures.
• Maintain accurate parts counts and data integrity by clocking in/out on data system.
• Label material on stock items and prepare routing paperwork.
• Conduct minor repairs and maintenance to cutting tools during production.
• Follow safety policies and maintain clean, safe working environment.
• Other responsibilities as required or assigned.
