Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking a 2nd shift CNC Machinist to program, set up, and operate NC/CNC machines for turning, drilling, milling, and other operations. You will read blueprints, inspect parts, and ensure tolerance compliance in a temperature-controlled facility.

The role requires basic math, blueprint interpretation, and ability to follow instructions. Strong teamwork and communication are essential; 3+ years of machining experience preferred, with G‑Code knowledge a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D required.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Basic math skills required.
• Understanding of gauging / measuring devices required.
• Blueprint understanding required (geometric tolerancing).
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions to complete tasks that may be repetitive.
• Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and organize work/priorities.
• Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC/NC machines to perform turning, drilling, reaming, tapping, milling, boring, welding, and other machining operations.
• Set up and program NC/CNC machines and adjust tools for close tolerances.
• Perform inspections using gauges and blueprints to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Read blueprints and produce parts to print requirements and customer specs.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas; complete production paperwork.
• Follow safety procedures, lean principles, and company policies.
