Job summary

Sandvik Coromant in Westminster, SC is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up, program, and operate CNC grinding equipment used in the production of precision cutting tools. You will maintain top quality, safety, and efficiency while meeting productivity targets.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, strong work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize workflow.

Qualifications

Required: High School Diploma or GED, strong work ethic, attention to detail, ability to understand workflow and production priorities.
Preferred: 1-3 years CNC grinding experience in manufacturing or process industry.
Experience with CNC grinding equipment and precision measuring instruments is desired.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC grinding and manufacturing equipment.
Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs.
Operate centerless grinders, cylindrical grinders, CNC tool grinders, cut-off machines, and precision measuring equipment.
Accurately enter quality, SPC, production, and other required data into company systems.
Perform routine equipment maintenance and assist with major repairs as needed.
Meet established productivity, machine utilization, and cycle time goals.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Follow all company safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
