Job summary

Sandvik Coromant in Westminster, SC is seeking a CNC Machinist for the 2nd shift. You will set up, program, and operate advanced CNC grinding equipment to produce high‑quality cutting tools, maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of CNC machining experience, familiarity with CNC grinding and programming, and a strong problem‑solving ability. Shift is 3:00PM–11:15PM with a $1/hour premium.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.

• Ability to understand workflow processes and production priorities.
• 1–3 years CNC machining experience preferred.
• Experience with CNC grinding equipment and programming preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• 2nd Shift (3:00PM to 11:15PM).
• Pay starts at $19.00 per hour with a $1.00 per hour shift premium.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate CNC grinding equipment.
• Accurately enter quality, SPC, production, and other data into company systems.
• Develop, edit, and optimize NC/CNC programs.
• Perform all phases of operations in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in work areas.
• Meet cycle time, productivity, and machine utilization targets.
• Follow company policies and procedures; support continuous improvement initiatives.
