Job summary

Laborup in Jamestown, NY is seeking CNC Machinists to produce precision aerospace and defense components on CNC lathes and mills. You'll work on turning and milling operations, with training available for the right candidate and opportunities to advance in a growing production environment.

2nd shift schedule with 10-hour shifts and significant overtime. Competitive hourly pay ($23–$26) plus a $2/hour second-shift differential, and potential relocation assistance for highly qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Previous CNC machining experience is required.
• Able to read and understand manufacturing drawings and work instructions.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment is preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and reliability are essential.
• Ability to work 2nd shift and maintain attendance.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathes and/or mills to manufacture aerospace/defense components.
• Perform setups and changeovers based on job requirements.
• Select, load, and monitor cutting tools throughout machining.
• Make offsets and process adjustments to maintain part quality.
• Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections and document results.
• Read blueprints and GD&T per manufacturing instructions.
• Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues to maintain productivity.
