Job description

CNC Machinist

The CNC Machinist will operate industrial devices that generate manufactured parts. Essential skills are technical knowledge, setting up, and operating a CNC machine while maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; and maintaining equipment and supplies.

Duties
  • Operate equipment such as CNC machines, milling machines, and end mills to produce manufactured parts primarily out of aluminum and titanium.
  • Take measurements to adequately ensure the accurate set-up, with the use of tools such as gauges, calipers, indicators and micrometers.
  • Maintain specifications by observing drilling and cutting; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting controls; replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
  • Set up and troubleshoot 5-axis machines for large complex parts.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification from an accredited technical college a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible milling experience, aerospace industry is a plus.
  • Possess basic math and geometry knowledge with elementary knowledge of engineering principles helpful.
  • Be able to read blueprints, follow work orders and verbal instructions.
  • Must have recent experience with Fanuc and Siemens controls.
Pay Transparency

The salary information is a general guideline only. A wide range of factors are considered when extending an offer, such as job-related knowledge and skills, qualifications, education/training, key skills as well as market and business considerations. Other forms of pay (e.g., bonus or long-term incentive) may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
