The Opportunity

We are looking for a skilled, dependable CNC Machinist to join our team on 2nd Shift and help us produce high‑quality parts, on‑time for complex, customer‑engineered programs. This is a hands‑on position responsible for changeovers, tool offsets, tooling replacement, machine operation, inspection, and supporting operators. An experienced CNC Machinist helps reduce downtime and build an effective, efficient workforce.

What You Will Own

CNC Machining & Setup

• Perform changeovers to new jobs as needed.
• Touch off tools and change tool offsets to ensure quality parts.
• Inspect and replace damaged tooling.
• Load programs for parts to be run.
• Properly load and unload parts into CNC machines.

Quality & Inspection

• Check parts using various types of metrology equipment, including calipers, micrometers, pin gages, thread gages, ring gages, refractometer, scales, CMM, etc.
• Qualify good and bad parts and sort accordingly.
• Understand technical drawings, metrology, and GD&T.

Teamwork & Production Support

• Train operators as needed.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with CNC Operators and Assembly personnel.
• Help reduce downtime and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the workforce.
• Clock in and out of jobs and log time correctly.
• Accurately count good and bad parts and log information accurately and timely into ERP.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Changeovers are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Tool offsets and tooling are properly maintained.
• Parts are inspected accurately and good/bad parts are properly identified.
• Machine downtime is minimized.
• Production records and job time are accurate.
• Operators and teammates receive the support and training they need.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of CNC Operator experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be able to work in a shop setting.
• Good math and analytical skills.
• Ability to count accurately.
• Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to understand technical drawings, metrology, and GD&T.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations). Therefore, candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident (“Green Card”).

This position is for 2nd Shift.

2nd shift hours are currently 2pm-10pm.
