Crane Aerospace & Electronics has an exciting opportunity for a CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift to join our FMS Cell Team at our Elyria, OH location. Hours are Monday-Friday 4:00pm - 12:30am.

Crane Aerospace & Electronics supplies critical systems and components to the aerospace and defense markets. Our products are used in challenging environments, including engines, landing gear, satellites, medical implants, missiles, and unmanned aerial systems (UAS).

Our Elyria facility has been a community staple for over a century, known for pumping technology and contributions to aerospace innovations, including supplying pumps for Charles Lindbergh in the 1930s. Essential Functions:

• Process rough material through machining operations in a team-oriented cell.
• Maintain cell inventory.
• Set up and operate machines, inspect parts, perform deburring, flush, chip check, and sub-assembly operations. Use manual mills, drills, and gauges as needed.
• Finish parts according to blueprints and manufacturing outlines, including burr removal and edge breaking.
• Identify and mark parts per specifications, clean and move parts as necessary.
• Pass an annual eye exam.
• Verify products and control processes using measuring devices.
• Keep records of completed processes.
• Rotate between different workstations within the cell.
• Perform rework, secondary operations, routine maintenance, and safety checks.
• Document non-conformances and inspect work at each step.
• Complete all required paperwork and ensure proper handling of materials.
• Collaborate with internal and external customers and participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Complete all documentation, including inspection records, job routers, NCRs, reject tags, move tickets, and stock tickets.
• Perform other duties as assigned and utilize computers for data access.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma.
• Previous CNC machining and milling experience.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, detail sheets, and instructions.
• Knowledge of fixtures, cutting tools, CNC controls, and machine operation.

Physical Demands:

• Prolonged standing, bending, lifting, and stretching.
• Occasional lifting of parts and fixtures up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent lifting of parts up to 30 pounds and use of burring tools.
