We are currently seeking a reliable machinist die maker to work on our 2nd shift. This is a permanent position in the fast-paced, ever-evolving engineering industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating quality parts using a variety of machine tools and equipment. This role is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you can apply your skills and knowledge to real-world engineering challenges.

Responsibilities

As a 2nd shift Machinist, you will be responsible for

• Operating and maintaining various machine tools, including milling machines and lathes.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering plans to produce parts that meet exact specifications.
• Selecting and setting up the appropriate tools and equipment for each job.
• Performing regular inspections of finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Troubleshooting any issues that arise during the machining process and making necessary adjustments.
• Keeping a detailed record of work performed and materials used.
• Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Collaborating with other team members and departments to optimize workflow and improve overall efficiency.
  
  

Qualifications

To be considered for the 2nd shift Machinist position, applicants must have

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a die maker / machinist in the manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in operating various machine tools, including milling machines and lathes.
• Strong understanding and ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering plans.
• Extensive knowledge of tooling processes and procedures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• High school diploma or equivalent. A degree or certification in a relevant field is a plus.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
