Job summary

Buffalo Pumps, Inc. is hiring for 2nd and 3rd shift CNC turning specialists. You will set up and operate turning centers with live tooling, interpret prints, and maintain tight tolerances on complex parts.

OT is voluntary, and a shift differential applies for 2nd and 3rd shifts. Experience with Mazak Integrex, Okuma, DMG Mori, and Kitamura machines is a plus. Join a team focused on precision machining in a manufacturing environment in New York.

Qualifications

• Interpret drawings and setup CNC turning center for precision operations.
• Reason through setup problems with moderate judgment and tooling.
• Use gauges and tools to maintain close tolerances and multiple operations.
• Avoid damage to cutting tools and machines; maintain accuracy.
• Set up live tooling on turning centers and machine parts to spec.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC turning centers from tape or direct input.
• Read prints, determine tooling and set-up requirements.
• Load/unload machines and inspect finished parts to spec.
• Grind and resharpen tools as needed; notify if equipment malfunctions.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area and follow safety procedures.
