Job summary

Moog Inc. in Buffalo, NY is seeking a skilled Machinist III for 2nd shift to manufacture high-precision components for aerospace and defense programs. You will set up and operate CNC lathes with milling capabilities, inspect parts to tolerance, and interpret complex drawings using GD&T.

The role offers a sign-on and a 10% shift differential on the 2nd shift. Ideal candidates have 4+ years of CNC Machinist experience, familiarity with G-code and Fanuc, and knowledge of B axis Mill Turns.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; ability to understand and apply instructions in English.
• At least 4 years of experience as a CNC Machinist, preferably on Lathe and Mill machines.
• Working knowledge of G-Code and Fanuc controls is a plus.
• Knowledge of B axis Mill Turns with main and sub spindle is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run parts on a CNC lathe with milling capabilities to close tolerances and complex geometry.
• Inspect all work, set up gaging equipment, and detect deviations or blueprint errors.
• Interpret complex drawings including GD&T blueprints, sketches and operation sheets.
• Plan work within the cell under minimal supervision and assist in problem solving.
