Job summary

IES Infrastructure is seeking a skilled Manual/CNC Machinist in Lancaster County, PA for first or second shift. A $2,500 New Hire Bonus and a 15% second shift differential are offered. You will produce and repair precision parts using manual or CNC tools, reading blueprints, and working with tight tolerances.

The role involves running start-to-finish jobs, ensuring safety, quality, and documentation. Overtime/weekends may be required to meet production demands.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship preferred.
• 3+ years of manual/CNC machining experience.
• MasterCAM experience preferred.
• Able to run start-to-finish jobs independently.
• Familiar with first-run and prototype work and understands extra steps for precision parts.
• Strong blueprint reading and measurement skills.
• Willing to work overtime or weekends as needed.
• Comfortable with large parts, overhead cranes, noisy environments, and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual machining equipment including Bridgeport mills, lathes, band saws, and presses.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
• Set up machines and complete jobs with minimal supervision.
• Measure and inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools.
• Troubleshoot production issues and apply real-time problem solving.
• Keep documentation of part dimensions and any deviations.
• Work safely and follow established procedures.
