Job summary

Millerbernd Manufacturing is hiring a Machinist 2 or 3 for first, second, or weekend shifts in Sauk Rapids, MN. The role focuses on setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC Vertical Turning Centers, Vertical and Horizontal Milling Centers, and manual centers to meet product specifications.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years (Machinist 2) or 6+ years (Machinist 3) of machining experience, blueprint interpretation skills, and proficiency with CNC equipment.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree preferred; 5+ years machinist experience for level 3.
• Experience on lathes and mills; blueprints and mechanical drawings proficiency.
• Proficient CNC equipment operation and measurement tools.
• Ability to read internal manufacturing paperwork and tape measures.

Responsibilities

• Select tooling and inserts for setups and runs.
• Set controls and verify machine settings per programs.
• Perform machine setups, trials, and production runs.
• Monitor for deviations and adjust controls as needed.
• Operate material handling equipment as required.
• Maintain production records and verify parts against blueprints.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and perform tool changes as needed.
• Complete setups and teardowns and ensure safety procedures.
