Job summary

DRT Metal Packaging is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment. You will set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis centers to manufacture precision components.

The role requires interpreting blueprints and GD&T, performing tool offsets, and conducting inspections to ensure part quality. We offer a stable aerospace manufacturing setting with 1st shift hours, competitive benefits, and opportunities for training and advancement.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years CNC machining experience, aerospace/precision manufacturing preferred.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation.
• Experience with multi-axis CNC equipment and G-code.
• Ability to perform machine setups with minimal supervision.
• Waterjet experience is a plus.

Shift(s) Available

• 1st Shift | Monday - Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• OT: Voluntary

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Frequently lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 35 pounds; occasional lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Frequent use of hands for machine operation, tooling changes, and inspection activities.
• Ability to safely work around moving mechanical equipment and manufacturing processes.
• Visual acuity required for inspection of precision components and reading technical documentation.

Work Environment

This position works in a manufacturing environment where exposure to machine noise, metal chips, cutting fluids, oils, and moving equipment is common. Required personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times when required.
