Job summary

Safe Fleet in Nesconset, NY is seeking a CNC Machine Operator for the 1st shift (Monday–Friday). This role offers hourly pay between $22 and $26 per hour. You will read blueprints, edit G/M code, and perform tool changes and setup while maintaining tight tolerances. Strong measurement skills and safe work habits are essential.

The position requires a High School Diploma and prior machine operation experience is preferred; CNC experience is a plus. Reports to the Machine Shop Production Manager.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Understand G and M code programs and make minor changes.
• Set up and prepare machine operations.
• Change tools and input tool height measurements.
• Maintain +/- 0.010 tolerance.
• Inspect parts with micrometers, calipers and gauges.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning.
• Ensure safe work habits and clean work area.
