CNC Machinist

Woburn MA

Pay Rate: 30-34 an Hour

Responsibilities:

1. Loading raw materials, mounting fixtures, and aligning cutting tools on the CNC machine based on project requirements.
2. Writing and editing CNC programs using CAD/CAM software to define the cutting paths for the desired part geometry.
3. Monitoring machine operation during the machining process, adjusting parameters as needed to maintain precision.
4. Performing in-process inspections using measuring tools to ensure parts meet tolerances and specifications.
5. Identifying and resolving machine malfunctions or programming errors.
6. Performing basic maintenance tasks on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of CNC machining principles, including G-code programming, cutting tool selection, and machine capabilities.
• Ability to interpret complex measurements and calculations related to machining.
• Accurately interpreting technical drawings (blueprints) and specifications.
• Diagnosing and resolving issues related to machine operation and programming.
• Maintaining high precision and quality standards in production.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software for program creation.
