Position Summary

Waiteco Machine (WCO), a CMT company, is seeking a CNC Setup Machinist for our Devens, MA location. The CNC Setup Machinist will operate computer numerical control (CNC) Vertical Mills to produce parts within close tolerances. *This position works Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. The pay range is $30.00-$33.00/hour, depending on experience.*

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare programs and pre-set all tools needed for matching operations.
• Prepare, position, and secure workpieces in holding devices, machine tables, chucks, centers, or fixtures.
• Set up fixtures, install tooling, load programs, enter offsets, and prove out the machine.
• Inspect the first run piece, adjust offsets as needed, and perform spot checks for conformance to specifications, documenting results.
• Recommend and assist in implementing process improvements.
• Perform other duties necessary for smooth operation of the company.

Experience, Qualifications, and Skills

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of experience with 3- and 4-axis machines.
• Preferably 1+ years of CAM software experience (MasterCam).
• Ability to read and understand G-code programming.
