Job Description

Automation Personnel Services is seeking a CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift for a reputable company based in Travelers, Rest, SC. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment, develop technical skills, gain industry experience, and potentially transition into a long-term or permanent position. Pay Rate: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour

Schedule and Hours: Monday through Thursday, 3:00 pm - 1:30 am

CNC Machinist Duties and Responsibilities

1. Set up and operate CNC machines (lathes and/or mills) to manufacture metal components according to precise specifications.
2. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to determine machining requirements.
3. Perform basic machine maintenance and keep work areas clean and organized.
4. Complete required documentation and production reports accurately and on time.

CNC Machinist Qualifications and Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Basic math and computer skills; experience with CNC programming (G-code or M-code) is a plus.
• Ability to understand and follow safety protocols and operating instructions to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Physical strength and stamina to lift and move heavy loads safely and efficiently.
• 2+ years of experience operating CNC machines (mills, lathes, or grinders preferred).
