MOHR Talent is seeking a CNC Machine Operator in Gates, NY. The position combines machine operation with fabrication and material handling in a structural steel shop. Hours are 6:00 AM-2:00 PM with a pay range of $21-$25 per hour.

The role requires experience with CNC, machine operation, or fabrication, with strong measurement skills and familiarity with reading tape measures. Cross-training and teamwork across shop areas are encouraged.

Qualifications

• CNC, machine operation, or fabrication experience preferred.
• Strong measurement and tape‑measure skills.
• Comfortable handling steel and working around cranes.
• Willingness to cross‑train and assist with general shop duties.

Location: Gates, NY | $21-$25/hour | 6:00 AM-2:00 PM

We are seeking a CNC Machine Operator to join a structural steel fabrication shop. This is a hands‑on role combining machine operation with fabrication and material handling.

Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC and drill‑line equipment

• Set up and monitor machines

• Read measurements and use a tape measure accurately

• Handle and move structural steel materials

• Assist with cutting, drilling, grinding, torching, and other fabrication tasks

• Support other shop areas when machine work is unavailable

Requirements:

• CNC, machine operation, or fabrication experience preferred

• Strong measurement and tape‑measure skills

• Comfortable handling steel and working around cranes

• Willingness to cross‑train and assist with general shop duties

Equipment Experience:
Experience with CNC drill lines, plasma tables, structural steel equipment, or similar machinery is a plus. Experience with Ficep, Peddinghaus, Hypertherm, or related systems is beneficial but not required.

Important: This is not a machine‑only position. Material handling and general fabrication are a significant part of the job.
