Responsibilities
  • CNC Machining: Set up and operate CNC machines efficiently to produce precision tool and die components according to CAD files and drawings.
  • Manual Machining: Efficiently set up and use manual machines such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, hand tools, and other traditional machining tools to fabricate parts precisely.
  • Component and Detail Manufacturing: Collaborate with the tooling team to understand component requirements to ensure accurate assembly and timely production requirements.
  • Quality Control: Conduct thorough and efficient quality checks on machine components to ensure they meet the highest standards of precision and quality.
  • Machine and Maintenance: Perform preventative and routine maintenance on Tooling, CNC, and manual machines efficiently to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Problem Solving: Efficiently troubleshoot and resolve machining processes, tooling, and equipment issues to maintain seamless production.
  • Adherence to Safety Standards: Follow all guidelines, protocols, and policies while maintaining a clean, organized working area and machines.
  • Demonstrate TOG’s Core Values in all aspects of the job.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as a CNC Machinist, with a proven track record of efficiently operating CNC and manual machines. Previous experience operating and maintaining multiple machines at one time. Must have industry-standard, operable hand tools. Ability to communicate verbally and in written form. Ability to read and comprehend simple and complex instructions.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in 2 and 3-D programming, set-up, and operation experience. Proficient in reading and interpreting CAD and CAD drawings. Proficient in using manual machining tools. Prospector and Edgecam preferred. Must pass and maintain TOG’s Hi-Lo & Crane Certification.
  • Precision and Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and the ability to efficiently produce high-precision components within tight tolerances. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and read and comprehend simple and complex instructions.
  • Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment. Skilled in value-added conflict resolution through open-mindedness and finding common ground. Demonstrate meaningful and respectful communication through active listening and collaboration with colleagues.
  • Problem-solving Skills: Proficient analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues independently. Successful track record in adapting to changing circumstances.
  • Safety Conscious: Adherence to safety protocols and policies and a commitment to efficiently maintaining a safe workplace. Pass and maintain on-site lift truck, overhead crane, and hi-lo certification.
  • Continuous Learning: Willingness to stay updated on advancements in machining technology and techniques efficiently. Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with or without on-the-job learning.
