Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and moving materials.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Prior machining experience preferred.
• Experience with electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, micrometers, technical documents, and drawings.
• Ability to hold close tolerances and work independently.

Qualifications

Duties and Responsibilities

A Typical Day May Include

• Performing standard shop computations related to dimensions, tooling, and machining parameters.
• Reading and understanding machining programs for assigned jobs.
• Troubleshooting programs and setups with limited supervision.
• Ensuring proper calibration of tooling and replacing inserts as needed.
• Inspecting parts upon completion with high attention to detail and specifications.
• Ensuring the quality of finished products and reporting required quality data.
• Using various measuring instruments to check parts for conformance to tolerances.
• Following work instructions and completing necessary paperwork.
• Meeting established cycle times.
• Recommending process improvements, program edits, and corrections to reduce setup times and improve cycle times.
• Performing routine maintenance checks to ensure equipment safety and functionality.
• Maintaining cleanliness of equipment and work area daily.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Position Details

• Full Time
• 3rd shift hours vary between 8:30 pm – 7:00 am CST (8, 9, or 10-hour shifts)
• Location: Quincy, IL
• Salary: $20.00 - $25.00 based on skill set and experience
