2nd Shift CNC Machinist
Hytrol Manufacturing, a division of Advance Turning & Manufacturing, Inc., a global leader in manufacturing machine components for Medical, Aerospace, and Space Exploration, is in search of experienced CNC Machinists for the 2nd shift at our facility located in Westland, Michigan.

An ideal candidate will have lathe and mill experience with Mori-Seiki, Mazak, and Haas equipment. Several years of CNC experience with other machinery will also be considered.

Position Requirements
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
Produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED); and nine to twelve months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Up to 3 years of experience in Quality Control function in a manufacturing environment.
Quality Systems awareness.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS:
Conceptual Skills, Process Improvement, Verbal Communication, Functional and Technical Skills, Controls and Instrumentation, Supply Management, Tooling, Coordination, Inventory Control, Attention to Detail, Judgment.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
There are no supervisory duties associated with this position.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, bend or crouch.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving equipment. The performance of this position normally requires exposure to a typical manufacturing area where under certain conditions may require the use of personal protective equipment such as Safety Glasses with Side Shields. Employee may be exposed to shop elements such as oil, dust, odors, fumes, and noise. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
