You will work with engineers and production teams to hit goals while upholding quality and safety. This 90-day contract-to-hire role is on first shift, 7:00am–3:30pm, and requires MasterCAM proficiency, G&M editing, reading blueprints, and precise measurement with quality tools.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC machinist in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in MasterCAM programming and G&M edits.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience achieving tight tolerances and using precision measuring tools.
• Strong understanding of tooling, fixtures, and setup procedures.

Responsibilities

• Program 3-axis CNC lathes and mills with MasterCAM.
• Set up tooling, fixtures, and workholding.
• Run prototypes and production batches while meeting specs.
• Read G&M code, perform tool offsets and compensations.
• Conduct in-process inspection and deburring with precision instruments.
• Maintain clean, safe workspace and perform routine machine maintenance.
• Operate additional shop machinery as needed including manual lathes and Bridgeport mills.
