Employ Partners in Canton, GA is seeking a Senior CNC Lathe Machinist to join a growing manufacturing team. You will set up, program, and operate CNC and manual lathes to produce precision components per blueprints.

Relocation assistance is available for qualified out-of-state candidates.Senior CNC Lathe Machinist Description:Responsibilities: • Set up, operate, adjust, and optimize CNC and manual lathe machines to manufacture precision components according to customer specifications. • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work orders, technical documents, and GD&T requirements. • Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, machine parameters, feeds, and speeds to ensure efficient and accurate production. • Perform machine setups, offsets, tool changes, and program adjustments to maintain quality and productivity. • Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, indicators, and other precision measuring instruments. • Monitor machining operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain tight tolerances and quality standards. • Troubleshoot machining issues, tooling concerns, and production challenges to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime. • Maintain accurate production, inspection, and quality documentation. • Load and unload raw materials and finished products safely and efficiently. • Perform routine machine maintenance and communicate equipment concerns to leadership. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment. • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to meet customer requirements and production deadlines. • Serve as a technical resource and mentor to less experienced machinists when needed.Requirements: • 8-10 years of CNC Lathe machining experience. • Extensive experience with machine setup, operation, tooling, troubleshooting, and process optimization. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and GD&T specifications. • Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment. • Proven ability to hold tight tolerances and perform detailed quality inspections. • Strong mathematical, mechanical, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Strong knowledge of machining practices, cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and material characteristics. • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. • Dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to workplace safety.Preferred Qualifications: • Experience machining plastics, composites, insulation materials, or specialty engineered products. • CNC programming and editing experience. • Punch Press experience. • Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience. • Forklift experience. • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.Apply today to take the next step in your machining career with a company that values skill, quality, and long-term growth opportunities.Employ Partners, Inc. is a full-service staffing and recruiting firm.
