Job summary

Orchid Orthopedic Solutions is seeking a CNC Machinist I in California to participate in the production of medical devices, performing basic setups on CNC 2- and 3-Axis machines and running multiple machines with supervision. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and adherence to QMS documentation.

Preferred candidates have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and lean manufacturing or medical device manufacturing experience; 1+ year operating machining equipment is desirable.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent preferred; Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience in Medical Device Manufacturing preferred.
• 1+ years operating machining equipment in manufacturing is preferred.
• Machining trade school preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates CNC machines and basic set ups for 2- and 3-axis machines.
• Runs multiple machines simultaneously (lathes, EDM wire, plunge) with supervision.
• Monitors programs and machine performance; completes work orders and inspection docs.
• Performs basic machine setup adjustments under supervision.
• Supports quality and compliance with QMS procedures and forms.
• Completes required training.

For more information, please click here.SHIFTSNA - Shift 2 (10%) (United States of America - California)A BRIEF OVERVIEWThe CNC Machinist I position contributes to the production of medical devices by operating and performing basic set ups of CNC 2 and 3 Axis machines, with the ability to identify X, Y, Z and 0 coordinates. He/she is responsible for running multiple and varying CNC machines simultaneously, such as Lathes, EDM Wire, and Plunge machines in addition to operating manual machine tools to cut, drill, shape, and finish quality products with some supervision.
