Job summary

Orchid MPS Holdings, LLC (via Tecomet) is seeking a CNC Set Up Machinist in Chelsea, MI to support medical device production. You will set up and run 3–5 axis CNC machines, monitor programs, and complete shop orders with a focus on quality and safety.

The role requires 2+ years of machining experience and CNC operation. Lean manufacturing experience is preferred. High school diploma required; machining trade schooling preferred. Benefits and a comprehensive package are offered.

• Machining trade school certification preferred (9-7306).

Responsibilities

• Performs setup of 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machines.
• Operates multiple machines simultaneously.
• Monitors the machine to ensure proper program performance.
• Completes shop work orders, inspection documentation, and daily maintenance sheets.
• Makes off sets and adjustments to machines with minimal supervision.
• Advocates for health and safety of self and others.
• Supports quality and compliance per QMS procedures and forms.
• Completes all required training.

A BRIEF OVERVIEW

The CNC Set Up Machinist contributes to the production of medical devices by operating and performing basic set ups of CNC 4 5 Axis machines, with the ability to identify X, Y, Z and 0 coordinates. He/she is responsible for running multiple and varying CNC machines simultaneously, such as Lathes and Mills. Experience operating and setting up CNC machines in a manufacturing work environment required.
