Job summary

EnergiPersonnel in Odessa, Texas seeks a CNC Machinist (Rod Manufacturing) to set up, operate, and monitor CNC lathes to produce precision rods per engineering specs and production needs.

You will read blueprints, perform tooling changes and offsets, and inspect parts with micrometers and calipers to ensure tight tolerances, quality, and on-time delivery for industrial applications.

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit to lift 75-100 lbs regularly.
• Experience with CNC machining and CNC lathe operations.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficient in precision measurement using micrometers and calipers.
• Knowledge of quality control and inspection methods.
• Experience with machine setup and tool changes.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC lathes to manufacture precision rods per specs.
• Read blueprints and drawings to ensure tolerances and quality.
• Perform machine setup, tooling changes, offsets and adjustments for efficiency.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Maintain tight tolerances while producing high-volume and custom rods.
• Troubleshoot machine issues with maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Monitor material usage and machine performance to reduce waste.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and cleaning of CNC equipment.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following OSHA policies.
• Meet production goals and ensure on-time delivery.
