CNC Machinist

The CNC Machinist will operate industrial devices that generate manufactured parts. Essential skills are technical knowledge, setting up, and operating a CNC machine while maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; and maintaining equipment and supplies.

Duties

1. Operate equipment such as CNC machines, milling machines, and end mills to produce manufactured parts primarily out of aluminum and titanium.
2. Take measurements to adequately ensure the accurate set-up, with the use of tools such as gauges, calipers, indicators and micrometers.
3. Maintain specifications by observing drilling and cutting; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting controls; replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
4. Set up and troubleshoot 5-axis machines for large complex parts.
5. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Certification from an accredited technical college a plus.
3. Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible milling experience; aerospace industry experience is a plus.
4. Possess basic math and geometry knowledge with elementary knowledge of engineering principles helpful.
5. Be able to read blueprints, follow work orders and verbal instructions.
6. Must have recent experience with Fanuc and Siemens controls.

The salary information is a general guideline only.
