Position Summary: This position is for a CNC Lead. You will troubleshoot setup and CNC machine issues that arise, while also working as a CNC Machinist.

CNC Machinist (Metal)

Position Summary: This role involves setting up and operating multi-axis (3, 4, & 5) milling center machines, performing setups on proven NC parts, changing tools, resetting offsets, conducting inspections, dismantling setups, and reporting blueprint discrepancies.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years experience operating CNC machines such as lathes and mills.
• Intermediate knowledge of precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, indicators).
• Ability to read drawings and specifications, understanding geometric tolerances.
• Knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, fixtures, and accessories.
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively in English.
• Adaptability to changing environments and extended hours.
• Basic math skills including geometry and algebra.
• Ability to lift 35 lbs.
• Willingness to work independently or in teams.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Troubleshoot CNC setups and issues, serving as the go-to person.
• Ensure quality parts production, load parts, operate controls, set offsets, and perform inspections.
• Interpret drawings, manuals, and specifications.
• Measure and mark workpieces for machining.
• Detect malfunctions, adjust machines, and report issues.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas and perform basic maintenance.
• Comply with laws, policies, and safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
