Job Description
Experience: Mid Level
Salary: $25 - $35 per hour
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform CNC job changeovers and load existing part programs.
- Touch off tools and adjust offsets to maintain part quality.
- Inspect tooling for wear or damage and replace it as needed.
- Load, unload, and operate CNC machines.
- Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, thread gauges, ring gauges, CMM equipment, and other measurement tools.
- Interpret technical drawings and GD&T requirements to identify conforming and nonconforming parts.
- Train and support CNC operators and coordinate with assembly personnel.
- Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues to minimize downtime.
- Accurately record job time, good and rejected part counts, and production information in the ERP system.
- Support changing production priorities and other assigned shop duties.
Needed
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2-3 years of CNC operator experience preferred.
- Hands-on ability to perform changeovers, touch off tools, adjust offsets, and replace tooling.
- Ability to read technical drawings and understand GD&T and metrology.
- Experience using precision measurement equipment to inspect parts.
- Strong shop math skills and accurate production counting and documentation.
- Ability to work in a shop environment and stand for extended periods.
- Availability for 3rd shift, currently 10:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.
- U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident, per the client's stated eligibility requirement for ITAR-related programs.
