Goodwill Industries of West Michigan, Inc. is seeking a CNC Machinist for the 2nd shift on a temporary basis. The role involves changeovers, tool offsets, tooling replacement, and training operators within a Tier 1 automotive/military supplier environment.
The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of operator experience, a high school diploma or GED, strong math and analytical skills, and excellent written and verbal communication within a shop setting. GD&T proficiency is essential.
This is a vacant position at a Tier 1 Supplier to the Automotive and Military Industries. Our exceptional engineering team provides solutions for customers on their most challenging programs. These programs are typically complex which requires unique solutions to launch quickly. We are the “go to” solutions provider for Ford Motor Company and Laser Access, specializing in CNC Machining and Assembly of custom engineered components. A CNC Machinist will be in charge of changeovers, tool offsets, replacing tooling, and training operators. They will have an in-depth knowledge of Machine Operation and Tooling. As well as the full understanding of technical drawings, metrology, and GD&T. CNC Machinists must be able to maintain a positive relationship with both Operators and Assembly Personnel. An experienced CNC Machinist will be able to reduce downtime and add to an effective and efficient work force.
Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations). Therefore, candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Permanent Resident ('Green Card')
