Job summary

Kelly Services in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a CNC Machinist for a direct-hire role. The position offers two shift options: night and day, with overtime. Pay ranges from $22-26 per hour based on skills and experience.

Training provided for 2-3 weeks on a weekday schedule. You will set up and operate CNC lathes and mills to produce precision parts for automotive, electrical, and medical industries, interpreting blueprints and using precision tools to verify tolerances.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of CNC setup and adjustment experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate CNC lathes and mills to produce precision parts.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics to meet specs.
• Use measuring tools to verify parts meet dimensional standards.
• Maintain quality control and document processes throughout machining.
• Perform routine machine maintenance.

• Night Shift: Sunday-Thursday 8:00pm-6:00am - 10 hours OT each week
• Day Shift: Monday-Friday 6:00am-4:00pm - 10 hours OT each week

What's a typical day as CNC Machine Operator? You'll be:

• Setting up, adjusting, and operating CNC lathes, CNC mills, and other automated/manual machines to produce precision parts for automotive, electrical, and medical industries
• Interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to execute required tasks and specifications
• Using specialized measuring tools to verify finished parts meet strict dimensional standards
• Ensuring quality control and adherence to specifications throughout machining processes
• Performing routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of machine tools and related devices

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent (required)
• Are experienced in reading and interpreting blueprints and manufacturing drawings
• Have at least 2 years of experience setting up and adjusting CNC machines
• Are physically able to lift and/or move up to 50lbs and stand for a full shift
