Job summary

Employ-Temps seeks a skilled CNC Machine Operator in Kent, Ohio, to set up and operate CNC turning centers and mills. You will inspect parts for quality, adjust machine settings, and ensure efficient production on-site for a reputable, family-owned manufacturing team.

Ideal candidates have CNC experience, ability to read drawings and use measurement tools, and a strong focus on safety and accuracy. 8:00 am–4:30 pm, Mon–Fri; $20–$25 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; CNC certification a plus.
• Prior experience operating CNC machines, turning center experience preferred.
• Ability to read calipers, micrometers, and gauges; inspection equipment experience is a major plus.
• Comfort inspecting parts for quality and tolerance accuracy.

Responsibilities

CNC Machine Operator

We are currently looking for skilled CNC Machine Operators in Kent, Ohio. We want motivated candidates who have experience in CNC machine set-up and operation to join a dedicated manufacturing team. This is a great opportunity for those seeking consistent, on‑site work with a reputable company.

This family-owned business specializes in producing precision OEM parts for heavy machinery. As a CNC Machine Operator, you will play a key role in ensuring high‑quality parts are produced efficiently. You’ll operate various CNC turning centers, set up and adjust machines, and inspect finished products all while maintaining a safe and organized workspace.

Hours

8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday

Pay

$20.00 – $25.00 per hour, based on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC mills, lathes, and turning centers to produce precision parts per specifications
• Set up tools and fixtures, adjusting machine settings for optimal performance
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement tools
• Perform routine machine maintenance and report any malfunctions
• Load or edit programs utilizing G & M Code
• Load and unload materials while ensuring proper handling and safety protocols
• Keep a clean, safe, and organized work environment following all PPE and safety guidelines

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or CNC certification a plus
• Prior experience operating CNC machines, turning center experience preferred
• Ability to use calipers, micrometers, and gauges; inspection equipment experience is a major plus
• Comfort inspecting parts for quality and tolerance accuracy
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings
• Experience working with G & M Code is desirable

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience with CNC programming and full set-up tasks
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• CNC machining experience (entry-level to advanced acceptable)

Other Requirements

• Ability to work on‑site in Kent, Ohio
• Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical activity necessary for manufacturing tasks
